Companies come out of stealth mode to display their innovations at ad:tech.
November 8, 2006
Advertising technology companies gathered at the ad:tech conference in New
York City on Wednesday to show off their latest products, with a number of
startups spotlighting their wares earlier in the week.
Among them is Nabrana, a Nashua, New Hampshire-based company that
highlighted its user-generated game technology at the show's Now and Next
Showcase. The company plans to launch the technology by January.
Nabrana was funded by angel investors and entrepreneurs from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, according to CEO Naveena Swamy. "We
are about to enable user-generated content in the casual game industry," she
said. "We have about five years of experience in the game industry, enabling
people to create games."
"People can build their own games and their own assets for the web," said
Nanu Swamy, chief technology officer for Nabrana. "Right now we have close
to 200 or 300 people who are customers going through the alpha phase."
